On June 12, 2012 in the 8th a class a demonstration English lesson was held.
Guests at this event were Mrs. Emilia Ivanova, Principal of the National Trade and Banking High School, Mrs. Daniela Gonkova and Mrs. Jivka Marinkova, deputy principals, students' parents, Mrs. Victoria Vulcheva and Mrs. Nonka Bailova, teachers, and Mrs. Radka Ostreva, the form-master of the class. Special guests of the event were Mr. Borislav Kinov, Express Publishing House representative, and Mrs. Milena Vladimirova, Oxford University Press representative.
The students demonstrated their skills and knowledge in English, gained under Mrs. Radostina Shishkova's supervision, in a non-standard way. Their performance was a new format of the school TV programme NTBHS+.
Some students, who had participated in the essay-writing competition - "Should Teenagers Have Credit Cards?" - and had taken top places there, were awarded the right to take the TOEFL Junior Exam free of charge. Students Radoslav Tsvetkov and Melania Slavkova were given an honorary diploma by Mr. Borislav Kinov in person. He also promised the school to promote foreign-language teaching by supplying new multi-media equipment including a projector and an interactive board.
