The Student’s Institute for Mathematics and Informatics held their Twentieth Student Conference in Pleven between January 24 and 26, 2020. Ivan Zlatanov from section “11-I” and Martin Yakimov from section “10-Z” represented the National Trade and Banking school in the “Economical Informatics” specialty. They participated in the Informatics and IT poster session.

Ivan’s project “Heimdall: Evaluating the Threat USB Devices for Mass Storage through the Usage of an Integrated System Pose” earned him a medal and a diploma for an excellent performance. Martin earned a special prize with his “My Home Assistant” project.

The most dedicated students in the spheres of Mathematics and Informatics traditionally attend the conference, where they discover big opportunities, such as the chance to attend the prestigious six-week Massachusetts Institute of Technology summer Academy - Research Science Institute, and the Summer Research Academy for talented students interested in mathematics, informatics, and IT.

Twelfth graders that achieve excellent scores enroll without an exam in the Plovdiv University “Paisii Hilendarski”, and, as of this year, the air force academy “Georgi Benkovski” in Lower Metropolia.
